Terms
Simple service, shared responsibility.
Effective September 26, 2026
Use of the service
ShoppingList.page lets people create and share anonymous shopping lists. No account is required. You are responsible for the content you add and for protecting any bearer link you create or receive.
Shared links
A person with a list link can read and edit that list. Links are not invitations with named permissions, and the service does not claim that list contents are encrypted or private. Do not add secrets or sensitive personal information.
Households and list access
A household is a shared space that can contain multiple shopping lists. A household link or QR code may grant access to the household and its lists; a list link grants access to the individual list it represents. Anyone with the relevant bearer link may read and edit the accessible content, so share links only with people you trust.
Recent-item autocomplete and mixed-language lists
The app may suggest items from recent local history as you type. You can add items in different languages to the same list at the same time, and custom items are welcome. You remain responsible for checking the item name and the list before shopping.
Availability and expiration
The app is designed to work offline, but synchronization depends on the browser and service being available. Anonymous lists expire after 365 days without an accepted mutation. Offline changes may remain on the device until they can be synchronized or cleared. Expired or deleted lists cannot be recreated through their old link.
Product analytics
When enabled for the deployment, the app uses self-hosted Umami analytics to measure product usage and observed browser devices. Analytics runs without a consent prompt and uses a pseudonymous random browser device ID plus coarse events. It does not include list contents, item names, quantities, bearer links, access credentials, or raw URLs. Do Not Track is honored. See the Privacy Policy for the data and retention details.
Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service, bypass limits, probe guessed list IDs, distribute malware, or use lists to store unlawful content. We may throttle or block activity that threatens the service or other users.
Changes
These terms may change as the service evolves. The effective date above identifies the version currently published on this site.
